We are always monitoring our services and we noticed recently that our database performance which was already great… could see some improvement and in the process free up more resources like memory and CPU cores etc for other things like making your webpages load fast even at higher than normal traffic loads, etc.
To put it in perspective, load on our servers dropped nearly 50% after implementing the changes to our configuration… and we are not stopping there!
Soon we will be moving all databases to centralized database server, splitting web page deployment and database queries between two different servers for ever account, thus lowering resource usage on web deployment servers and allowing for more resources to be used just for database queries.
Again, you really shouldn’t feel a thing, just know that your websites will just be that more reliable and stable under heavy loads… toss all the traffic you want at our servers, they can take it!
More improvements to come,
